CO2 is the application of specialized laser energy to reduce visible skin pigmentation, improve skin tone and more. The carbon Peel not only improves uneven pigment, but can also reduce the appearance of textural irregularities and fine lines.

The laser energy works in two ways, first it gently targets the melanin (pigmentation) in the cells breaking it up for your body’s natural removal processes, and second it heats deep in the dermis causing the skin to contract and stimulate collagen. Because the treatment is gentle, multiple passes are needed in order to obtain optimal results.

How it works

Laser energy lightly removes Carbon Lotion, heating dermis and lightly ablating the top layer of dead skin. The laser energy breaks up pigment, that is then carried away by your body, and heats the skin causing the skin to contract while at the same time stimulating the building of collagen.

Our ZO clinician will apply a layer of Carbon Spectra lotion to the skin, this lotion has a carbon base, so your skin will look as if you are wearing a mud mask. Laser energy is then applied to the skin. You will hear slight snapping sounds when the laser is fired and may feel a slight tingling or warmth. Multiple passes will be made over the skin with the laser during each treatment.

Pigmentation and fine hair reduction for intimate areas with the Revlite laser

The Revlite is a new generation Q-Switched Nd:Yag laser. It is a very unique laser because unlike most lasers for hair reduction this laser targets fine hair effectively. Using Q-switched engineering the laser produces very rapid, short pulse widths of energy, limiting the healthy tissue’s exposure to thermal build-up for safe, fast and effective treatment. This photo acoustic effect helps with pigmentation removal as the energy that the laser produces when applied to the area vibrates therefore shattering the target, which in this case will be the pigmented lesion.

The treatment is a gentle beam of light that passes through the upper layer of skin. Its heat stimulates collagen growth deep beneath the skin. It will also cause the pigmented areas on the intimate area to break up and re-absorb into the skin, which concludes to lightening or even eliminating the skin from pigmentation.
